Just like those from your local bank, you can get a credit card from your local credit union. The difference is that with a credit union, only certain people are eligible to bank there. Credit unions are only allowed to cater to a select group of members who not only put their money there but help to run the place. The people can be from a select profession or live only in a certain area, but they are eligible for all the same services, often at better rates, that they would get at a bank. Getting a credit union master card is not a difficult process.

Like those who get their credit cards from banks, the credit union master card offers the holder many perks. You are guaranteed that the card can be used worldwide. It will give the holder access to an ATM, so that they can withdraw money when they need a little extra cash. There will be certain protection offered to the card holder as well. They will get access to emergency services that will replace their card quickly, and offer cash advances if they are in a difficult spot because their card was stolen. They will also have roadside assistance if they get stuck somewhere in their car. All theses perks are offered to everyone getting a credit card from the credit union.

Along with these advantages, the credit card holder will also receive a low annual fee without any extra cost if another card would be desired for a family member. The card will provide extra warranties and purchase protection on new products bought. The credit union master card will come with a credit limit of from one thousand dollars up to twenty thousand dollars. They will also have travel insurance as one of the benefits of using their credit card. There are often reward programs with these credit cards that will give the person using them points for every dollar spent. These points will be redeemable at certain levels against further purchases. There are also different levels of credit cards that charge higher fees but give bigger limits and more benefits. Or there are cards especially made for students that give lower credit limits.
